SIGN UP:
Please sign up for weekly events by printing your name on the sign-up sheet located on the board or by calling the Golf Shop, (480-838-0488) for a tee time. If you have to cancel, call the Golf Shop ASAP. When using riding golf carts, please limit 2 carts for 3 or 4 players riding, and 1 cart for 1 or 2 players riding.

HANDICAP FLIGHTS:
We have 4 flight groups with our handicaps for awarding prizes and competition:
1st flight ... 2nd flight ... 3rd flight ... and the 4th flight handicaps are posted on the bulletin board and change from time to time so we don't list them here.

PLAY OF THE DAY: (POD)
The directory lists all Play of the Day. Score cards are prepared for each week. Winnings are posted on the board and entered in a book which is kept at the Golf Shop. All winnings are to be used by the end of June.

SCORE CARDS: ........ Fill out two score cards each play day.

  1. One goes into the box marked "Shalimar 9-HERS HANDICAP".
  2. The second card goes in the box marked "PLAY OF THE DAY".
  3. Be sure they have been signed, dated and attested. Since we have many similar names in our group, PLEASE PRINT FIRST and LAST NAMES on each card in alphabetical order.

DUES:
Your dues must be paid before any scores are counted for handicapping for play of the day prizes.

GUESTS:
You may be a guest for three times only in a season. Then you must become a member to continue play.

HANDICAPPING:
To establish a handicap, members must play five rounds of golf with a 9-HERS member on the Shalimar course and put the signed, dated and attested card in the Shalimar 9-HERS Handicap box.

HOLE-IN-ONE:
A Hole-in-One Club is available for a $1 fee to all members (WEDNESDAY PLAY DAYS ONLY - with a witness). If no one wins, pot is carried over to the next season and an additional dollar is collected from all participants.

OVERSEEDING:
Course is closed to allow for the best possible overseeding results.

PRESIDENT'S CUP AND CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP:
Your score will be the best three rounds played out of the four weeks of tournament play. Three (3) score cards will be needed. Place 3rd card in box marked "Tournaments".

BIRDIES and QUACKERS:
Competition for most birdies and quackers (chip-ins) begins in September and ends at the end of April. Birdies and Quackers will be recorded for you and posted.

LUNCHEON CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you sign up and find you cannot make a luncheon:

  1. TO CANCEL YOUR TEE TIME, you should call the Golf Shop, 480-838-0488.
  2. You must also call the Hostess (listed in directory and also check e-mail page) for the luncheon or the President to cancel. Informing the Golf Shop does not relieve you of your responsibility to call the Hostess.
  3. You must cancel for the luncheon no later than the Sunday before the Wednesday luncheon or you will be billed for lunch. The amount billed will be the amount of the shortage divided by the number of no shows. (I.e. two people don't show up and haven't called and one additional person shows up -- shortage is $12.00 then each person is charged $6). The list of those owing money will be posted on the bulletin board and the money must be paid before that member is allowed to attend the next luncheon
